Every quiz and article on The Trivia Club is held to the standards on this page. Members are entitled to know what they are.

Question Sourcing

Our questions are written in-house. The facts behind them are drawn from reference works, academic sources, museums and archives, official records, and reputable published journalism.

We do not build questions from other quiz sites. Trivia has a habit of circulating claims that were wrong the first time and have simply been copied ever since, and we would rather do the reading than inherit somebody else’s error.

Fact-Checking Before Service

Nothing publishes unchecked. Every question is verified and every article is reviewed by an editor before it goes out.

Where a fact is genuinely disputed, or holds only under particular conditions, we say so in the explanation. A slightly longer answer is better than a tidy one that isn’t quite true.

Corrections and Accountability

We will occasionally be wrong. Anyone publishing at this volume will be, and a club that claimed otherwise wouldn’t be worth joining.

What we undertake is straightforward: we work hard not to make the mistake in the first place, and when we do make one we correct it promptly and openly. We amend the question or article, we note what changed where the error was material, and we do not quietly remove things to spare our blushes.

If you believe an answer is wrong, write to contact@thetriviaclub.com with the question and your reasoning. We would rather be told than be left in error.

The Trivia Club is advertising-supported. Advertisers play no part in selecting our topics, writing our questions, or reviewing our content before publication. Nothing here is paid placement presented as editorial.

AI and Human Oversight

We use software tools in research, drafting and editing. A person reviews everything before it publishes, and accountability for what appears on this site is ours alone.
