Who Keeps the Club Running
The Trivia Club is maintained by a small group of writers and editors with a shared weakness for the well-made question. We curate rather than churn: a question earns its place here or it doesn’t run.
Everything published is written by one of us and read by another before it reaches members. It’s an unglamorous process and it’s the reason the standard holds.
What’s on the Card
Quizzes across general knowledge, history, science and pop culture, plus longer pieces for the subjects that reward a proper sit-down. We favour questions with a story attached — the ones that make somebody at the table say “wait, really?”
How a Question Makes the Cut
Selection first: is this interesting enough to be worth a member’s time? Plenty of accurate questions fail that test and are discarded.
Then verification: is it actually true? We check the underlying fact against reliable sources before writing anything. Then we build the question, give the wrong answers enough credibility to be a genuine challenge, and an editor reviews the finished item.
House Standards
Accuracy is the price of admission. A club built on cleverness cannot afford to be confidently wrong, so we check carefully, we treat too-good-to-be-true facts with suspicion, and we drop anything we can’t stand behind.
Our Editorial Policy sets out the rules of the house in full.
Membership Correspondence
Corrections, suggestions and disputes over an answer: contact@thetriviaclub.com. Members who catch our errors are doing us a favour, and we treat it that way.
